Your privacy is important. This policy explains what data Icophony collects, how it is used, and how it is stored.

Summary#

Icophony stores your icon library locally on your Mac and syncs it privately through your personal iCloud account. Your data is never transmitted to Icophony’s servers — there are none.

Data Stored Locally on Your Device#

All Icophony data — icons, collections, groups, tags, notes, licenses, and settings — is stored using Apple’s SwiftData framework and synced privately through your iCloud account. This data is only accessible to you; Icophony has no server-side access to it. The Apple Privacy Policy governs how Apple stores and protects this data.

Purchases and Subscriptions#

Icophony uses Apple’s StoreKit framework to handle all purchases and subscriptions. Apple processes all payment transactions. Icophony does not have access to your payment information, Apple ID, or billing details.

Purchase state (trial, subscribed, or lifetime) is verified through StoreKit’s receipt validation. No purchase data is transmitted to Icophony’s servers — because there are no Icophony servers.

Crash Reports and Diagnostics#

If you have opted in to share diagnostics with developers in macOS System Settings, Apple may share anonymized crash reports with us. These reports do not contain your icon library or personal data.

Data We Do Not Collect#

  • We do not collect your name, email address, or any personally identifiable information.
  • We do not collect analytics or usage statistics.
  • We do not use tracking or advertising technologies.
  • We do not share any data with third parties.
  • We do not have access to your icon library or its contents.

iCloud Sync#

Icophony uses a private iCloud container to sync your library across your Macs. Because this data lives entirely within your personal iCloud environment, it remains completely inaccessible to us.

iCloud sync requires you to be signed into iCloud on your Mac. If iCloud is unavailable, the app continues to work seamlessly using your local data.

Changes To This Policy#

If this privacy policy changes materially, the updated policy will be posted here with a new “last updated” date. All About Jake, LLC reserves the right to update this policy at any time.
